Nov. 6, 2024 - Jason Edmonds, age 45 of North East, Maryland was sentenced yesterday to 51 months in federal prison and 3 years of supervised release for conspiring to commit bribery at the Aberdeen Proving Ground. In addition, the Court ordered Edmonds to forfeit $111,794.83, which is equal to the value of the bribes he received.

Soldier encourages friend to commit sexual assault, both sentenced to prison

Oct. 30, 2024 - A Soldier who persuaded his friend to sexually assault another Soldier in May of 2022 were convicted and sentenced to prison. While stationed at Camp Humphreys, Pfc. Quentin D. Fontenot, 22, approached his friend and co-worker Pfc. Ethan K. Fintroy, also 22, and encouraged him to sexually assault Fontenot’s then girlfriend.

Oct. 16, 2024 - Raytheon Company (Raytheon) — a subsidiary of Arlington, Virginia-based defense contractor RTX (formerly known as Raytheon Technologies Corporation) — will pay over $950 million to resolve the Justice Department’s investigations into: (i) a major government fraud scheme involving defective pricing on certain government contracts and (ii) violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and the Arms Export Control Act (AECA) and its implementing regulations, the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Ukrainian National Pleads Guilty to “Raccoon Infostealer” Cybercrime

Oct. 7, 2024 - A Ukrainian national pleaded guilty in federal court in Austin today to one count of conspiracy to commit computer intrusion. According to court documents, Mark Sokolovsky, 28, conspired to operate the Raccoon Infostealer as a malware-as-a-service or “MaaS.”

Sept. 26, 2024 - United States Attorney Clare E. Connors announced that Andre Fulton, II, 30, of Georgia, was sentenced today by U.S. District Judge Jill A. Otake to three months in prison followed by three years of supervised release for theft of government money. Fulton was also ordered to pay $202,309.27 in restitution and a $100 fine.

Coonradt, 27, was last seen in Marina, Calif., on Dec. 20, 1987 while riding as a passenger in the car of a fellow unit member.

May 23, 2024 - It has been four years since 21-year-old Spc. Enrique Roman-Martinez was reported missing near Cape Lookout National Seashore in North Carolina. The remains of the 82nd Airborne Division paratrooper from Fort Liberty (formerly Fort Bragg) later washed up on Shackleford Banks Island on May 29, 2020.
