QUANTICO, Va. –
It has been four years since 21-year-old Spc. Enrique Roman-Martinez was reported missing near Cape Lookout National Seashore in North Carolina. The remains of the 82nd Airborne Division paratrooper from Fort Liberty (formerly Fort Bragg) later washed up on Shackleford Banks Island on May 29, 2020.
The Department of the Army Criminal Investigation Division continues to offer a reward of up to $50,000 for credible information leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the individual(s) responsible for his death.
Enrique was last seen camping with fellow Soldiers, May 22, 2020, at a campsite near Mile Marker 46 on South Core Banks, one of the islands that make up Cape Lookout National Seashore. He was reported missing the evening of May 23, 2020. His phone, wallet, and glasses were found at the campsite and he was last seen wearing blue shorts and no shirt.
