I took over as the Special Agent-in-Charge (SAC) of the Army CID Central Texas Field Office (CTFO), Ft Cavazos, in March 2023. The CTFO area of responsibility encompasses central, southern, and eastern Texas, and all of Oklahoma. I choose to be part of Army CID because I believe in the changes the organization is making and I want to contribute to them. I am excited about the opportunity to be impactful especially at such a high functioning office like Fort Cavazos.
Prior to my selection as the SAC of CTFO, I worked for the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) and have over 21 years of federal law enforcement experience. My former leadership positions include Assistant Director, NCIS Human Resources Directorate, NCIS Ombudsman, Division Chief of Program Management for the NCIS Criminal Directorate, and Supervisory Special Agent NCIS Resident Agency Portsmouth, Virginia.
I have a diverse background working in general crimes, special operations, and family and sexual violence cases. I have served in assignments in both the United States and overseas, in addition to completing a deployment in Djibouti, Africa. Prior to entering law enforcement, I proudly served in the United States Navy for seven years.
As a Army CID Leader, I am so honored to be part of a team and couldn’t have walked into a better situation with such great motivated people who want our office to succeed. As our organization is transforming, my priority is our people. With change there is a lot of uncertainty and ensuring our people have the knowledge they need to get through any decision-making process, addressing their concerns, and being transparent is crucial to getting through this transformation; all the while, ensuring everyone has the tools to continue to do their job and we are still successful at our mission.
This assignment by far as been the most challenging but also the most rewarding. To work with so many talented people who push boundaries, lean forward, and want to make our office successful, makes me proud to be part of the team. Doing this amid significant attention and constant scrutiny because of our location and unique challenges at each office is even more impressive.
I am beyond lucky to lead CTFO but it’s not about me, it’s about my team and ensuring they have an inclusive and positive environment to work in, space to grow and develop, and an advocate in me to ensure they have what they need to do their job and are shielded from the day-to-day chaos.
