WÜRZBURG, Germany –
The Department of the Army Criminal Investigation Division is offering a reward up to $15,000 for credible information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the disappearance or death of Tina Grogan, Stephon Grogan and Dale Grogan Jr.
Since November 30, 1992, US Army Specialist Dale Grogan's dependent wife, Tina Grogan, and their two sons Stephon Grogan (age 4,) and Dale Grogan Jr. (age 6,) have been missing. After their disappearance was reported, an extensive search was conducted in Würzburg, Germany. This search was initiated by Army CID and received assistance from the Würzburg Kriminal Polizei.
In March of 1994, Dale Grogan was discharged from the US Army and eventually moved to the Jacksonville, Florida area.
The investigation continued over the next nine years to search for Tina Grogan and their two sons in both Germany and the United States. These searches included previous addresses, family member addresses, and current and past schools. There were also reexaminations of the crime scene, financial records, and evidence collected during the initial investigation.
All searches and reexaminations met with negative results, the active investigation was suspended and classified as a cold case in December of 2002.
Dale Grogan was arrested in January 2025 by the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office during a law enforcement operation targeting sexual predators. Mr. Grogan is currently in the Nassau County Jail awaiting trial on charges for traveling to meet a minor. The Army CID Cold Case Unit received new information in connection with this arrest and the case was reopened.
