Army CID continues to investigate allegations involving a medical provider at Fort Hood, Texas, who reportedly recorded a patient during an exam on October 17, 2025. Special Agents from the Department of the Army Criminal Investigation Division responded promptly to the initial report, leading to the subject's apprehension on the same day.
In the military, apprehension means taking a person into custody, which is equivalent to making an arrest in the civilian justice system. The subject was processed in accordance with Department of Defense Instruction (DODI) 5505.11 and released to the custody of their chain of command.
Since the start of this investigation, Army CID has conducted extensive investigative efforts both on and off the installation. This includes conducting hundreds of interviews and reviewing over half a terabyte of digital media.
A team comprised of Army CID Special Agents and Analysts has been focused on this investigation, utilizing all available resources to ensure a thorough and complete investigation.
Army CID is working closely with the U.S. Army Office of Special Trial Counsel who is thoroughly evaluating all the evidence as it is developed. The matter remains under ongoing investigation and the accused in this case is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
