CID Cyber Lookout

Community Help and Mentoring Program (CHAMP) – The CCIU supports the volunteer efforts of the USA Freedom Corps (USAFC) that serve to help those in need. President George W. Bush created the USAFC to build on the countless acts of service, sacrifice, and generosity that followed the terrorist attacks of September 11th, 2001, and he called on every American to dedicate at least 4,000 hours – or two years – to service over the course of their lives . In order to advance the goals of the USAFC, the CCIU launched CHAMP as an officially sponsored outreach initiative. CHAMP provides CCIU personnel with an avenue to volunteer in a wide variety of public service efforts.

USAFCAdditional information about the USAFC and instructions for joining their Volunteer Network can be found on their web page.

CID Cyber LookoutCID Cyber Lookout – This is a comprehensive initiative to promote Internet safety for the U.S. Army community. By partnering with efforts already underway by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, Federal Trade Commission, and other organizations, the CID Cyber Lookout helps educate Army family members about the dangers posed by cyber-criminals on the Internet. The following links provide a wealth of useful information about Internet safety for children, teens, and their parents, as well as tips for defending against Internet scams and identity theft:
