Command Sergeant Major Brian A. Flom is a native of Los Angeles, California. He entered the U.S. Army in August of 1991 where he completed One Station Unit Training (OSUT) at Fort McClellan, Alabama, graduating as a Military Policeman. His military education includes the Basic Leaders Course (Honor Graduate), the Advanced Leaders Course (Commandant’s List), the Senior Leaders Course, the Battle Staff Noncommissioned Course (Honor Graduate), the Inter-service Nonlethal Weapons Instructor Course (Honor Graduate), the Equal Opportunity Leaders Course (Honor Graduate), the Military Deception Planners Course, the First Sergeants Course, the Unit Antiterrorism Officer Basic Course (Honor Graduate), and Class 62 of the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy (Commandant’s List).
Command Sergeant Major Flom is a graduate (Cum Laude) of Troy University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice and a graduate of The University of Texas at El Paso with a Masters of Arts Degree in Leadership Studies.
Command Sergeant Major Flom’s previous assignments include Military Policeman and Protective Services Guard for the U.S. Army Europe Commanding General, 529th Military Police Company, Heidelberg, Germany; Military Police Supervisor, NTC Military Police Company, Fort Irwin, California; Squad Leader and Operations Sergeant, 529th Military Police Company, Heidelberg, Germany; Squad Leader and Platoon Sergeant, 64th Military Police Company, Platoon Sergeant, 401st Military Police Company, Intelligence NCO, 720th Military Police Battalion, First Sergeant, 401st Military Police Company and First Sergeant, HHD, 720th Military Police Battalion, all while assigned to Fort Hood, Texas; Antiterrorism Operations Sergeant for 8th Army, Yongsan, Korea; Operations Sergeant Major, 91st Military Battalion at Fort Drum, New York; Command Sergeant Major for the 92nd Military Police Battalion, Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri; and Command Sergeant Major of the 42d Military Police Brigade at Joint Base Lewis McChord, Washington.
