Command Sergeant Major, 701st Military Police Group (CID)
CSM Crystal L. Wallace was born in Brooklyn, NY. She entered the Army in 1991 and completed Basic Training at Fort Dix, NJ and completed Advanced Individual Training as a Personnel Management Specialist at Fort Benjamin Harrison, IN.
CSM Wallace served as a Personnel Management Specialist at the 575th Personnel Service Company in Darmstadt, GE from 1991-1993. Her next assignment was with the 4th Personnel Service Company at Fort Carson CO from 1993-1996. In 1996, CSM Wallace applied for and was accepted to be a CID Special Agent and completed the Apprentice Special Agent Course (ASAC) at Fort McClellan, AL.
Upon graduation from the ASAC, CSM Wallace was assigned to the 75th Military Police Detachment (CID) in Fort Benning, GA, where she service as a General Crimes CID Investigator. CSM Wallace’s next assignment was with the West Point Resident Agency, West Point, NY where she served as a General Crimes Investigator, Economic Crimes Team Chief and as the Detachment Sergeant from 1998 until 2001. In 2001, while assigned to the West Point Resident Agency, CSM Wallace was selected to serve as the MACOM Equal Opportunity Advisor from 2001-2004. CSM Wallace’s next assignment was as the 1SG for the Protective Services Battalion, Fort Belvoir VA from 2004-2007. While assigned to the Protective Services Battalion CSM Wallace was selected to attend the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy, Class 58 from 2007-2008. Upon graduation, CSM Wallace was selected to serve as the Battalion CSM for the 11th Military Police Battalion (CID), Fort Hood, TX from 2008-2011. In 2010, CSM Wallace deployed with the 11th Military Police Battalion (CID) in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Iraq and Kuwait. Shortly after her return from deployment, CSM Wallace was assigned to the 701st Military Police Group (CID), Quantico, VA where she currently serves since 2011.
CSM Wallace has a Masters Degree in Counseling and Education from Long Island University. CSM Wallace has a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Social Science from Mount Saint Mary’s College and a Bachelors of Science Degree in Liberal Arts from Regents College. She has successfully completed the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy, the First Sergeant Course, ANCOC, BNCOC, WLC, Protective Services Training Course, Hostage/Crisis Negotiations Course, Advanced Fraud Investigation Course, Child Abuse Prevention and Investigations and the Special Agent Laboratory Training Course.
CSM Wallace’s awards and decorations include but are not limited to; the Bronze Star Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (1 Oak Leaf Cluster), Army Commendation Medal (2 Oak Leaf Clusters), Army Achievement Medal (4 Oak Leaf Clusters), Army Good Conduct Medal (7), National Defense Service Medal (2 Bronze Stars), Iraq Campaign Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon (4), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Ribbon (2), and the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal.
