30th Military Police Detachment (CID)
The 30th Military Police Detachment (CID) is headquartered at Fort Stewart, Georgia. The Detachment provides felony criminal investigative support to 3rd Infantry Division and the Fort Stewart military community. The Detachment’s geographical area of responsibility includes 40 counties in southeast Georgia.
The Detachment is composed of CID warrant officers, enlisted CID Special Agents, support Soldiers and DA civilians, as well as Military Police Soldiers serving on a joint CID/MP Drug Suppression Team.
On order, the Detachment provides trained CID Special Agents in support of protective services missions within the continental United States and other locations worldwide. On order, the Detachment deploys individual CID Special Agents and task-organized criminal investigative teams to locations worldwide to provide felony investigative support to U.S. Army and Joint Force Commanders, Department of Defense Service Members and Department of Defense Civilians.
The 30th MP Detachment flag deployed to Iraq from 2005-2006.
