Battalion Operations Officer, 22nd Military Police Battalion (CID)

Mark Arnold was born in Kankakee, IL and raised in Delavan, IL.  He is a 1985 graduate of Delavan Community High School and a 2006 graduate of the American Military University of Charles Town, WV with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice.  In June 1984, he enlisted in the Illinois National Guard and attended the U.S. Army Military Police (MP) training in 1985.  In 1987, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and in August 1994, he was accepted into the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command as a Special Agent.  In February 1997, he became a US Army Warrant Officer. 

His USACIDC assignments include being a member of the General and Economic Crimes Team in Fort Bragg, NC; General and Economic Crimes Team Chief in Camp Humphreys, Korea; Special Agent-in-Charge at Rock Island Arsenal, IL; Special Agent-in-Charge in Tallil, Iraq; Special Agent-in-Charge of the 20th Military Police Detachment, Camp Humphreys, Korea; Military Police Investigation Division Chief, U.S. Army Military Police School at Fort Leonard Wood, MO; Battalion Operations Officer, 22nd Military Police Battalion (CID)(FWD) in Bagram, Afghanistan and the Battalion Operations Officer at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA.

CW5 Arnold is a graduate of the U.S. Army Warrant Officer Candidate School, CID Warrant Officer Basic Course, CID Warrant Officer Advanced Course, Warrant Officer Staff Course and the Warrant Officer Senior Staff Course. Additionally he attended numerous military and civilian schools and courses during his career, to include the Protective Services Training course, Fort McClellan, AL, Hostage Negotiation course, Fort McClellan, AL; Advanced Fraud Investigation course, Fort McClellan, AL; Antiterrorism Program Manager course, Fort Leonard Wood, MO; Environmental Crimes Investigations course, Fort Leonard Wood, MO; Crime and Criminal Analyst Course, Fort Leonard Wood, MO, White Collar Crimes Course, Federal Law Enforcement Training Center; and the Fire/Arson Investigation, National Fire Academy.

He has received numerous awards recognizing his work, including the Bronze Star Medal (1) Army Meritorious Service Medal (5); the Army Commendation Medal (2); the Army Achievement Medal (6); Army Good Conduct Medal (3); National Defense Medal; Iraq Campaign Medal; Afghanistan Campaign Medal; Global War on Terrorism Service Medal; NATO Medal; Korea Defense Service Medal; NCO Professional Development Ribbon (2); Army Service Ribbon, and the Overseas Service Ribbon (6).

CW5 Arnold has been the Operations Officer, 22nd Military Police Battalion, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, since returning from Afghanistan in September 2012.
