Commander, 22nd Military Police Battalion (CID)

Lieutenant Colonel Christine M. Whitmer graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from New Mexico Military Institute-NMMI (Early Commissioning Program) in July 1996 where she earned her commission as a Second Lieutenant. She began her active career as a Military Police Officer in Dec 1998 upon completion of her Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Her military education consists of the Military Police Officer Basic Course (1997), the Military Police Captains Career Course (2001) and the USMC Command and Staff College (2011) where she earned her Master's degree in Advanced Military Studies.

LTC Whitmer’s assignments include: Platoon Leader 557th MP Company, Camp Humphrey’s, South Korea (1999-2000); Provost Marshal, ARCENT-KU (Forward) (May-Oct 2001); Asst S-3 (Air), 16th MP BDE (ABN) (2001); Brigade S-1, 16th MP BDE (ABN) (2001-02); Commander, 108th MP Company (ABN/AASLT) (2002-04); Small Group Leader-MPCCC, Fort Leonardwood, MO (2004-06); Deputy Provost Marshal, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg (2006-08); BN S-3, DSTB, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg (2008-10); Installation Provost Marshal Operations Officer, 16th MP BDE,  Fort Bragg (2011-13); Division Provost Marshal, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg (2013). LTC Whitmer’s deployments include: Operation Desert Spring (Camp Doha, Kuwait), as a Provost Marshal, ARCENT-KU (Forward), OIF I (Mosul, Iraq) as a Company Commander, OEF VII (Bagram, Afghanistan) as a Division Planner and OEF X as a Battalion S-3 (Bagram, Afghanistan).

LTC Whitmer’s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star (1OLC), Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (2 OLC), Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation (1 OLC), Army Achievement Medal (1 OLC), Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Meritorious Unit Citation (2 CS), National Defense Service Medal (1 OLC), Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Afghanistan Campaign ribbon (1 CS), Iraq Campaign ribbon (2 CS), Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary ribbon, Global War on Terrorism Service ribbon, Korean Defense Service ribbon, Army Service ribbon, Overseas Service ribbon (3 OLC), NATO ISAF ribbon, Combat Action badge, Senior Parachutist badge, German Parachutist badge, German Armed Forces Military Efficiency badge (Gold) and The Order of the Marechaussee (Bronze).
