Master Sergeant Dennis A. Higgins

Master Sergeant Dennis A. Higgins is a native of Old Bridge, New Jersey where he graduated from High School in 1987. He entered the Army in May 1990 as a Unit Level Communication System Repairer, completing Basic and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Sill, OK.
His duty assignments consist of Fort Bragg, North Carolina; 1/505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, Babenhausen, Germany; 71st Ordnance Company, Fort Hood, Texas; 704th Combat Support Battalion and Fort Hood Resident Agency (CID), Fort Belvoir, Virginia; Criminal Investigation Task Force, Fort Hood, Texas; Fort Hood CID Office and 11th MP BN (CID), Kaiserslautern, Germany; 5th MP BN (CID) and 202nd MP GP (CID).
During his career, MSG Higgins has served in various positions such RTO, Squad Leader, Shop Foremen, Criminal Investigator, Detachment Sergeant, Battalion Operations Sergeant, Task Force Sergeant Major, Battalion Sergeant Major, and Group Sergeant Major.
MSG Higgins’ military and civilian education includes Basic and Advanced Individual Training, Primary Leadership Development Course, Multiple Launch Rocket System Repairer, Basic Non-Commissioned Officer Course, Apprentice Special Agent Course, Protective Service Training, Advance Non-Commissioned Officer Course, Advance Crime Scene Investigative Techniques; He is currently in his fourth year in Criminal Justice at Park University.
MSG Higgins’ deployments include Albania and Kosovo in support of Task Force Hawk April through July 1999; Kuwait and Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom March 2003 through April 2004; July 2008 through July 2009.
His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal (2), Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal (4 OLC), Army Achievement Medal (5 OLC), Army Good Conduct Medal (6), Driver Badge with “w” device, National Defense Service Medal (2 Bronze Stars), Iraq Campaign Medal (4 Bronze Stars), NCO Professional Development Ribbon (3), Global War on Terrorism Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Ribbon (3), Combat Action Badge, and Parachutist Badge.
